One of the most crucial skills in organizations today is the ability to use, analyze and share information to improve decision making. Unfortunately, most companies today have difficulty approaching problems the same way and with the same consistency. Consequently, employees in the organization think differently about how to improve their work and most importantly how to standardize their ideas throughout the organization. Toyota’s 8-step problem solving process is a unique alternative to decision making that is applied from the Chair of Toyota Motor Corporation to the shop floor of the Team Member.
